Ellie is 5 months old!

I cannot believe that our little girl is now 5 months old. Jeremy and I were looking at video of her from when she was first born... and were amazed at how fast the time has gone by. She is now smiling all the time, laughing, scooting and occasionally rolling over (on accident :) We are looking forward to Christmas with her, she is so entertaining!

Carissa and Dave are Married!!!

This weekend Ellie's YaYa came to watch her at home while Jeremy and I traveled to Chicago for Carissa's wedding. We had a ton of fun and the bride and groom looked great. They are very happy together and we wish them the best. Car and Dave left for Jamaica this morning...and although I begged she said I would not fit in her luggage :)

Here is a picture of the happy couple.

Four out of our five roommates were able to make it to the wedding. (Jen you were greatly missed). It was wonderful to catch up with each other...it felt like a time warp back to the days of G02! I hope we will all be able to get together again soon!

Roomies with our "other halfs" :)

And some other fun pics:

Geocaching

I have found a new hobby...Geocaching!!! It is so much fun! You use a handheld GPS to find geocaching sites with little treasures in them. Janeen and I went off to find some treasures at Wikkiup Hill (it is also a great way to get a workout in). Maybe next time Ellie can join us in the stroller :)

Ellie's First Halloween

Ellie experienced the joys of fall and Halloween for the first time this past month. We took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch with Lyle, Julie and the boys in October. I know that she won't remember...but it was fun to take some pictures. We took our first family photo to the left while there (besides the one taken in the hospital which isn't the best :)

Logan and Aaron guided us through the corn maze...Ellie slept the entire time and was unfazed by the bumps. We did not dress Ellie up in a costume for Halloween or take her trick or treating. I did put her in an outfit for the" holiday" and passed out candy to the neighborhood kids. Ellie seemed to be very interested in the little monsters, witches and goblins that showed up at the door. I have included a few pictures of Ellie on Halloween as well.
Hanging out in her new favorite toy! (she is too small for it hence the phone book and blanket shoved behind her back)

I love!!! this picture of Jeremy and her!

Our little Bean :)

Ellie is growing fast she is almost 3 months in this picture! She is now sleeping at night... not all night...but at least she is sleeping at night :)
She is smiling, laughing and kicking her feet like crazy! I believe that she is going to be a very active little girl.

Welcome Elizabeth Christine Daughetee to the world!!!

Okay I'm a bit late on the post...but I'm a busy gal!

Elizabeth Christine was born July 15th 2008 at 4:09 in the afternoon. She was just a little peanut weighing in at 5lbs 9oz and only 19 inches long. She was born with a full head of hair. Jeremy changed his first diaper in the hospital and experienced the joys of being pooped and peed on at the same time :) She is currently sleeping all day and awake all night...we are desperately hoping that this changes soon!

We love her dearly!

Baby Shower Time!!!

This past weekend was our baby shower. Our family and friends were very generous and we traveled back to Center Point with a car full of new baby supplies. :) It was great to see my family and friends especially the roomies who traveled! Jeremy joined us at the end to help load up the car and pick up the hall. The baby is very blessed to have so many people that already care for him or her!

PS: 7 1/2 weeks until the Due Date!!! (and only 4 days left of school:)

Dubuque here we come

Well, next weekend starts off the string of events that will take place in Dubuque with our friends and family. I believe we will be traveling back and forth every weekend from the 17th of May until the 5th of July :(, and then we get a 3 week break to wait on the baby :)

Rugby ruined my life :)

Rugby, Rugby, Rugby!!!! Jeremy has now completed an entire year on the Cedar Rapids Rugby Team. He is loving his time back in a competitive sport where he is allowed to smear, tackle and ruck the opposing team. In April he was in a tournament in Chicago for the Midwest Playoffs. Unfortunately the team walked away with a loss...but fall season will be here before we know it! The highlight of my weekend in Chicago was going out to The Cheesecake Factory with Jess and Spencer! Snickers Cheesecake is to die for :)

31 weeks and counting

I can see the end in sight! I only have 9 weeks to go. I'm getting bigger and a bit more uncomfortable as the weeks go by. Just today I jumped up to turn off the TV in my classroom and thought I pulled all of my ab muscles on the right side of my body. My body continually reminds my brain that I'm no longer capable of doing certain things. But, in 9 weeks I will be back in action (okay maybe a bit longer then that)

And continuing with the countdown theme only 2 weeks left in the school year (YAHHHHHH) :)
