Happy Birthday Jeremy!

September 17th Jeremy turned 29 years old! He had a very busy weekend, with working nights, playing rugby and attending a baptism in DBQ. We tried to make the best of it, but I know that he was wiped (as was I). Here are some fun pictures with Jeremy and the kids on his birthday! Ellie and Owen were so excited for him to get up and celebrate. I think that Ellie was mostly excited for the cake she loves sweets just like her mommy!

After opening his presents we headed off to the rugby game. The Headhunters played Des Moines and won! We came back home, ate cake and pizza and Jeremy was back off to work.

On Monday we officially got to celebrate Jeremy's birthday with a nice steak dinner and homemade apple pie! Happy Birthday to the best husband and daddy around! We love you!

Owen's 1st Haircut

Owen's hair had started to take on a life of it's own...so we decided it was time for a haircut. We tried to get it cut on Labor Day, but could not find a salon that was open. So, I decided that I would have to brave the hair salon on my own during the week. I found a cute little place that has animals the kids can sit on, and movies to watch. The stylist, Miss Toni, was so nice and is the only one in the salon who cuts kids hair. You can tell she really enjoys it and Owen seemed to feel comfortable with her. Owen wasn't sure at first, he held onto his pig tight, and reached for mom a few times, but all in all did a great job. Once I gave him a sucker he was good to go! I saved some of his hair in a little baggie, and he got a balloon for being such a good boy. He looks so much older now that he had is haircut, and yes it is still curly! We love it!

We are in the new home....but it needs a lot of help before it will feel like it is home :) The people who lived in the home before us LOVED to stencil....in every room but Ellie's....so we are in desperate need of some paint.

Moving On

Friday August 26, 2011 was our final day in our "starter" home. The home that we bought shortly after marriage, brought two babies home to, and enjoyed many happy memories in! I have mixed feelings about moving; on one hand I'm very happy to get out of Center Point and move into a new home, on the other hand I feel like I will always miss our cozy little home.
